SXSW Panel - Girl Gamers Teach You the Facts of Marketing

March 8th, 2007 · No Comments

Rhoulette FD It’s SXSW time here in Austin and I’ve put together a panel of smart marketers.

Girl gamers.

Join me in conversation with them about marketing. You should walk away with loads of marketing ideas.

To the left is Rhoulette, she helped found The Frag Dolls. She’s in marketing at Ubisoft. She’s got the word “community” in her title. She doesn’t buy TV. Come learn why.

Athena PMS
To the right is Athena, co-founder the PMS Clan. She’s also a Frag Doll (Valkyrie). She knows how to connect with gamers in all media. She helped grow the PMS Clan from a few girls to the largest girl gamer group in the world.

Athena Twin PMS (2)To the left is AthenaTwin, also a co-founder of the PMS Clan. She’d like to spend more time playing video games, but she’s busy developing marketing programs so that she can field PMS Clan teams in competition.

Come hear how these women connect brands to gamers and ultimately increase sales. It’s not often you’ll get this chance because when they are talking in public, they’re mainly talking about games, or women in games. Rarely marketing. But Tuesday, they’ll talk shop with you.

And yes, they’re the real deal. Eg; Athena plays video games 40 hours a week. You can find out how deadly they are at SXSW’s ScreenBurn Arcade, Saturday and Sunday on the 1st floor of the Austin Convention Center from noon to 6pm. The Frag Dolls will be in the Ubisoft Booth and the PMS Clan will be “Gaming for a Cause” for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Texas, sponsored by Verizon FIOS. See them in action. If you say to yourself, “Hey, wait. That’s not marketing!?!?” then come to the session and learn.
